Blogging Tips for Educational Leaders

As technology continues to change and improve our lives for the better, many administrators have begun to use blogs to serve as a public relations tool for their campus.  Here are a few tips on ways to use a blog as an educational leader.

·         Allow students and teachers to serve as contributors to the blog

·         Post several times a week

·         Obtain feedback by monitoring the comments section of posts

·         Add a counter to analyze data to see how often the blog is being visited

·         Add music, videos, and pictures of campus events

·         Post tips on studying and other ways to improve academic learning

·         Communicate with parents during inclement weather days

·         Post links to important online content
